Tuscany, and especially walking from Lucca to Siena, is, without doubt, one of the most popular and touristic destinations in the world. This Italian region is so famous thanks to its incredible natural and historical heritage.
You will be walking up and down the charming hills of Tuscany to find out how is special is this walking journey.
Via Francigena’s history dates back to the 990th D.C. when an English Archbishop called Sigerico, completed the entire route from Canterbury to Rome. This made the Via Francigena famous.
Nowadays this route is recognised as the opportunity to enjoy a beautiful walk in Italy. It’s a very relaxed environment and offers the social opportunity to meet many more pilgrims and learn from their stories.
You will recognise the locations like San Giminiano and Monteriggioni to find out that you have probably seen already in the movies.
